Kate Hiykel Bio

Kate currently leads the Vendor Management Program at Mutual of Omaha, focusing on collaboration, governance, business needs, and continuous improvement. She’s led several enterprise projects, most recently transforming the vendor review process in which they have taken a cross-functional approach to managing risk at the speed of business.

Kate has held various roles during her 10 years at Mutual and prior experience in Financial Services. She thrives in collaborative environments, believing that strong partnerships - across teams, departments, and stakeholders—are key to driving sustainable success.

Outside of work, she enjoys time with her husband, two children, and two dogs in Omaha, NE—embracing family life with energy and drive.

Please join us for an informative hour with Kate Hiykel as she talks about her journey building Mutual of Omaha’s Insider Risk Program.  She worked for five years to start, strengthen and mature the Program and is excited to share her journey with us as well as insights as to how Insider Risk is something we all must account for.   This topic will surely be a great learning experience for all members.  We look forward to seeing you!
