On behalf of the Douglas County Emergency Management Agency, and as one of the sixteen Critical Infrastructure Sectors, I would like to invite you to the Douglas County Threats and Hazards Identification and Risk Assessment (THIRA) workshop. While THIRAs have been completed in the past, this is the first effort to complete one specific to Douglas County.

 When: 12/2/24 to 12/5/224

When: 9:00am to 4pm, daily

Where: 15335 West Maple Road, DC West Campus (old Thomas Fitzgerald’s Home) – Douglas Room (first floor)

Format:

• Each day consists of six 1-hour sessions focusing on one of eighteen capabilities. See attached schedule.
• Participants may attend all day or only in those sessions that are of most interest to them.
• Four scenarios will be used to help prompt conversation.
• Capabilities were chosen based on the capabilities most challenged during the four natural disasters experienced this year.

• Operational Coordination will be discussed every day over the lunch hour. Lunch will be provided by DCEMA.
